Daily challenge

Every day there is one Minesweeper field, the same for everyone: whoever plays on 20 October finds the mines where you find them, wherever they are. It is always the medium field, 12 by 16 with 30 mines, and everyone starts from the same square, already open. It can be cleared by reasoning alone, without ever having to guess.
How it works
- Press the button above: the game opens on today's field. The clock starts at your first move, so you can study the open area at your own pace.
- Step on a mine and you can try the same field again from the start.
- Clear it and the game shows your time and how many days in a row you have solved the challenge. Your record stays in your browser, on your device.
- Share your result: the text says your time and your streak, never where the mines are, so whoever receives it can play the same field without spoilers.
- During the challenge the size button reads New: it asks for a second press, then leaves the challenge for an ordinary game. Today's field is still waiting for you when you come back here.
Before you start
The rules, the scoring and some strategy are on the Minesweeper page. Here the first square is chosen for you, and it is the same for everyone: compare your time with whoever plays with you.
